Going back to work!

I love my room.  I do spend lots of time here, just don't know how much of that is scrapbooking!  I wish life would slow down and allow me more time to scrap.  Unfortunately it is only going to get busier as I am returning to the work force after twelve years.  Yes, I am joining the crazy world of the working.  I am going to juggle work and family!  Actually I have the perfect job.  I am going to be the lead teacher for the three year old class at the Day Academy.  I will teach on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.  It will be the perfect job.  A few days out.  Now I just have to figure out how to fit in cleaning, cooking, yoga, shopping and time still to scrap!  My family will always come first no matter what!  All the rest will come some time in after work!  Life will truly be the zoo around here this fall.  My oldest will be going to a new school, much earlier time.  My middle son will have the least changes, moving up a  grade and hopefully having the same schedule but my youngest will be going to kindergarten and having a new bus schedule.  Then I will be adding my own schedule in their too!  Oh what fun times we have ahead! Looking forward to the true Zender zoo!

My dream come true scrap booking room!

I have dreamed of this for years. A place of my own. I looked at others rooms and cut out pictures and dreamed of the day that I could have a room to call my own. I started out with a folding table on the landing of our steps,went to a cold corner of a basement and ended in a room full of boxes stacked to the ceiling before coming to this. I love my new escape! In a house full of males my pink and greens are happy and refreshing! Truly my room!

My wonderful husband finished our basement off and agreed to make my room for me. After working thru some minor issues, the room turned out even better then I ever thought it would. We worked together to design it. We laid the flooring and cabinets. We put together the desk from bookcases and a countertop from Ikea. I love how it turned out with three work spaces so my family can come in when I am working in here too!

I love my work space on my desk. I can spread things out and leave it. My desk turned out awesome!

I love having a countertop for my Cricut. It is awesome to spread things out and cut away. I have really done some major projects since I have the space now! My mats used to bump into the desk or other things when cutting. Now they have all the space they need!

These are my problem areas, my storage areas. I have an awesome shelf that holds tons and a great big closet. When I moved into my room I just moved my stuff in and put it in and moved onto the rest of the basement, trying to settle the kids with toys and things so I never got back to my scrap supplies. My 1st goal this year is to empty these and reorganize them in a better fashion! Then I will truly have an awesome room!

So that's it. That's my awesome room from years of planning, believing it would become a reality and a wonderful Hubby to help me put it together. Now I just have to get started on organizing it and then get down to business scraping and crafting in it. Hope 2011 is a productive year in my room and an awesome year for each of you!

Happy 2011

Happy 2011. I am trying to start up my blog. I figure new year, new me. I am going to try to do the blog thing this year. 2010 brought my dream come true of a beautiful craft room so I am making my New Years resolution to be to spend time each day in my beautiful room doing something crafty. Hopefully adding it to my blog often to share with you! So here I begin with typing a message next I will figure out how to add the pictures! Happy 2011 everyone. Hope you have a crafty, happy, healthy year too.
